Machinist / Production Operative – $22.00- $28.00 Per Hour – Kenilworth, NJ
The Role
Do you have a keen eye for detail and experience working in a manufacturing setting? If so, we are looking for you!
We are seeking a Machinist / Production Operative to join our team at Boneham Metal Products. In this role, you will play a vital part in the accurate and timely manufacture of precision drill bushings, ensuring our customers receive the high-quality products they expect.
As a Machinist / Production Operative, you will :
- Operate lathes, manual grinders, honing machines, and thru-hardening furnaces to manufacture precision components.
- Maintain and monitor machinery to ensure proper functionality using daily checklists.
- Set up and operate machinery with a thorough understanding of each machine (training provided).
- Conduct in-process quality checks in line with stage inspection criteria.
- Monitor and replenish tooling, raw materials, and consumables.
- Record setup and run times for accurate costing and continuous improvement.
- Highlight and address deviations or discrepancies in work instructions with the Operations Manager.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace to ensure operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior machinists and contribute to their development.
