Burteck is seeking a Plastics Process Technician to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for setting up and sampling new and existing molds. You will play a key role in developing and building Turnkey Work Cells and ensuring molds are optimised for long-term production. Working closely with customers and engineering teams, you will support the installation, qualification and maintenance of molds and associated processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the installation, development and qualification of new and existing molds and any associated equipment and processes.
- Resolves potential issues by ensuring that new molds are capable and maintainable for our customers’ long term production requirements.
- Supports the development and construction of our customers Turnkey Work Cells.
- Supports and contributes to our ISO documentation system.
- Contributes to the development and completion of the following protocols and reports: DOE, PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ, PFEMA, Work Process Instructions and any additional technical documents.

We offer all types of Class 101 molds, ranging from single cavity tools to high cavitation, interchangeable production molds, LSR molds and 2-shot molds. All Molds are sampled at Burteck utilizing their in-house Engel and Arburg injection molding machines prior to customer delivery.
The Person
- 5 years of experience in plastics processing with a strong background in injection molding.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting molding processes.
- A good understanding of mold qualification, including process development and validation.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standards and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication and attention to detail.
