The Role

We are seeking a Protestant Music Director to lead the musical aspect of worship services at Edwards Air Force Base.

This is a part -time, 1099 vacancy.

Contract : 3 Years, up to 3 hours per week

Please note : any qualified candidates selected for an interview will be asked to provide applicable supporting documents, i.e. photocopies of degree(s) or transcripts, copies of certifications, ordination certificates, etc.

Position contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities :

As the Protestant Music Director, you will :

  • Play an instrument during worship services, including Sunday services and special events.
  • Lead and rehearse with choirs and music teams.
  • Collaborate with chaplains to plan and select music that aligns with worship themes.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright laws for all music used.

    We're looking for someone who :

  • Has proficiency in playing piano, organ, keyboard, or guitar.
  • Can lead rehearsals and direct choirs effectively.
  • Is experienced in planning and coordinating worship music.
