As we scale our operations, we’re looking for a driven, self-motivated Aftermarket Sales Representative to help us grow our aftermarket business, including parts, service agreements, and system upgrades.
Position Summary
The Aftermarket Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities within our existing customer base, ensuring clients get the best long-term performance from their air pollution control or ventilation systems. This role requires a proactive sales approach, strong technical knowledge, and a customer-centric mindset to provide aftermarket solutions such as spare parts, retrofits, system upgrades, and maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Identify and pursue aftermarket sales opportunities, including spare parts, upgrades, and service contracts.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
- Technical Support: Understand system components, troubleshoot customer issues, and recommend solutions.
- Quoting & Proposal Development: Prepare detailed quotes and proposals for aftermarket products and services.
- Market Research: Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor offerings in the aftermarket space.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and service teams to ensure smooth fulfillment of customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years in aftermarket sales, technical sales, or account management in air pollution control, ventilation, or related industrial equipment.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial ventilation systems, scrubbers, thermal oxidizers, biofilters, or other air pollution control technologies.
- Sales Ability: Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to read drawings, understand system components, and explain technical solutions to customers.
- CRM & Tools: Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 20-40% to visit customer sites and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering or technical background in mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or industrial systems.
- Experience with municipal wastewater treatment plants, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.
- Prior experience selling service agreements or long-term maintenance contracts.
