Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Manager to lead our Field Service team, ensuring successful system installations, commissioning, and technical support across the U.S. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to oversee field operations, coordinate customer support, and drive service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage Field Service team, ensuring efficient scheduling and execution of field service activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer service requests, troubleshooting, and escalations.
- Develop and implement best practices to improve service quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure professional growth and technical excellence.
Field Service & Commissioning
- Oversee the startup and commissioning of industrial air pollution control systems (scrubbers, biofilters, FRP systems, etc.).
- Ensure proper mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation system integration and performance testing.
- Work closely with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure timely project execution.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in the field.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers for system optimization and maintenance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvements to system performance.
Customer Training & Quality Assurance
- Conduct customer training on system operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety programs.
- Oversee final inspections and ensure adherence to performance, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience managing field service teams in industrial equipment commissioning (preferably in air pollution control, ventilation, or environmental systems).
- Proven leadership experience managing field personnel and improving service operations.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, schematics, technical specs).
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% across North America.
