ECS Environmental is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting industrial machinery, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and proper setup of new production equipment, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes) and other production machinery.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including motors, VFD/PLC systems, rotating equipment (fans, pumps), and conveyor systems to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and protocols. Strong commitment to following safety protocols.
- Adjustments and Calibration: Perform equipment adjustments, such as belt tensioning, alignment, and lubrication.
- Electrical Maintenance: Install, diagnose and repair electrical systems. Experience with High Voltage motor control panels, VFD’s, PLC’s, general lighting, receptacles, and disconnects.
- Plumbing Maintenance: Perform general plumbing repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to urgent repair requests to minimize production disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and associated costs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams and other technicians to address and prioritize maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of verifiable experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading schematics, performing electrical and mechanical repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
Preferred Experience:
- VFD/PLC controls (Cylindrical Winder)
- CNC/Waterjet maintenance
- Mobile and overhead crane maintenance
- Pneumatic and electrical system installation/maintenance
- Forklift, front-end loader, and scissor lift maintenance
- Motor and bearing maintenance
- HVAC maintenance experience
- Coordinating with vendors and contractors
Working Conditions:
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and climb ladders as required.
