ARPA-H Briefing Coordinator and Communications Specialist (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced)

ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H—enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a “systems engineering and technical assistance” advisor, you will provide support to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem.
What you will do:
- Provide communications and briefing coordination support to ARPA-H:
- Prepare briefings and other documents to include strategic messaging in support of an ARPA-H Program Manager and the transformative programs being supported.
- Apply your strong technical writing ability and oral presentation skills to translate scientific and technical knowledge and concepts into succinct visual deliverables that can be communicated and understood by a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Create and execute strategic communications plans
- Develop content and visuals for press releases, backgrounders, talking points, slides, eblast/newsletter copy, memos, and reports
- Analyze, interpret, and translate ideas and issues into easily understood, clear and concise statements.
- Stay current with scientific advancements
- Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
- Build strong relationships with scientists, engineers, and other advisors involved in the program.
- Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.

- Basic
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience
- Demonstrably strong expertise in preparing succinct briefing/reports communicating scientific and technical knowledge
- Expertise in social media platforms and content strategy
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.
- Intermediate
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
- Demonstrably strong expertise in preparing visually engaging briefing/reports communicating scientific and technical knowledge
- Expertise in website content management, creating social media videos and graphic design
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.
- Advanced
- Bachelors Degree in Communications or Journalism or related field
- Minimum of 12 years of experience
- Demonstrably strong expertise in strategic communications and communications planning
- Expertise in public relations, media relations and external communications
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.
Req Benefits:
Salary : $70,000 - $150,000
