ECS is seeking a Business Systems Analysts - Sr. to work in our Montgomery, AL office.
ECS is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic 1CyberForce team in our onsite Montgomery, Alabama location. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing obtained data and ensuring our user-facing documentation is clear, accurate, and current in your function as a Technical Writer.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating actively with the development team throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participating in key meetings such as Sprint Zero, collaborative testing sessions, and daily stand-ups.
- Liaise with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) to incorporate updates and changes into the User's and Operator's Manuals.
- Edit, format, and prepare both User's and Operator's Manuals for publication, ensuring high standards of clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Conduct thorough post-publication reviews of all manuals, incorporating feedback and implementing necessary revisions.
- Manage version control and track changes, effectively communicating revisions and updates to stakeholders.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a software development environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise language.
- Proficiency in using editing and publishing tools.
- Experience working with DFAS guidelines and documentation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong analysis, collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A minimum of eight years of experience to include a minimum of five years of specialized experience including: superior functional knowledge of financial software requirements and sustainment of financial software systems.
- Ability to analyze user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
- General experience of information systems development and maintenance of software databases or other work in the client/server field, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and orally, particularly with a positive customer service attitude and with a strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise language.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a software development environment.
- Proficiency in using editing and publishing tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
