Consultant

ECS is seeking a full-time Consultant to provide client delivery services to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Claims and Appeals Modernization Office. under the Office of Governance, Regulations, Appeals, and Policy.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with proven critical thinking, communication, and client relationship skills. The Claims and Appeals Processing Analyst will be responsible for:

• Reviewing claim, appeal, and other correspondence received through multiple sources, including VA's Central Mail Portal and VA email
• Identifying correspondence-related program area, VAMC or VISN (where applicable)
• Routing correspondence for action
• Accessing and using VA claim and appeal systems, including Centralized Mail Portal, Case flow, and VBMS
• Logging correspondence for tracking
• Following up with overdue correspondence
• Managing special handling correspondence
• Escalating unclear correspondence for review by first and second-level supervisors

• Bachelor's degree or High School degree and relevant work experience.
• Strong organization, time management, and prioritization.
  skills with proven ability to balance competing tasks and meet deadlines.
• Self-directed, detail oriented, excellent at meeting deadlines with well-developed time management skills.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal), teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green-Card Holder per contract to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
