What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drupal Developer position at ECS Federal, LLC?
ECS is seeking a Drupal Developer on the Data Services Branch (DSB) contract on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The senior developer will be responsible for daily interaction with the team and customer, and executing the day-to-day configuration support, maintenance, improvement and migration, where necessary, of customer sites. The candidate must be able to guide the team in defining technical architecture of their projects, including working with them to finalize DB schema. As a tech lead you will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and providing technical guidance and support to team.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with Drupal development, including both Drupal 7 and Drupal 8/9/10.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like jQuery.
- Strong expertise in Drupal theming, custom module development, and site building.
- Experience with API integration and developing custom RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in database management and queries using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Performance Optimization: Experience with Drupal caching strategies, CDN integration, and optimizing website performance.
- Deployment and Hosting: Familiarity with Drupal hosting platforms, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to team development.
