The mission of the United States (U.S.) Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) is to develop, acquire, provide, and sustain simulation, training, testing and modeling solutions to optimize warfighter readiness. PEO STRI's vision is to be the provider of choice for simulation, training and testing solutions to optimize soldier and unit readiness. PEO STRI provides training aids, devices, simulators, simulations, instrumentation, targets and threat simulators for training and testing.
The SETA II contract provides for Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to PEO STRI and limited requirements of PEO STRI customers, related to PEO STRI's mission.
PEO STRI requires Military Analyst - SME support. This position assists in the organization's execution of the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) in accordance with Training & Doctrine Command TRADOC Regulation (TR) 71-20, "Concept Development, Capabilities Determination, and Capabilities Integration". This position assists in determining, documenting, and processing warfighting concepts, future operational capabilities, and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) requirements. This position assesses concepts to identify gaps in required capabilities and makes recommendations to develop and manage the integration of DOTMLPF solutions and the development of JCIDS capability documents.
Subject Matter Expert (SME): A SME is an individual whose qualifications and/or particular expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique. SMEs typically perform the following kinds of functions: initiates and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience
Active Secret Clearance
Knowledge of military doctrine and tactics.
Knowledge of the Military logistics process.
Knowledge of the deployment and employment of military combat, combat support, and or combat service support systems.
Knowledge of acquisition products and other training support materials.
Knowledge of military command relationships and operating procedures at the Joint, unified and specified command level and operational force employment.
Knowledge of Training Aids, Devices, Simulation and Simulators (TADSS) and of operational testing.
Knowledge of the Joint planning process.
Knowledge of the development and production of live, virtual and constructive training.
Extensive knowledge of military doctrine, tactics and procedures, and individual, crew and collective training development and management.
Ability to evaluate current programs with emphasis on the ability of those programs to satisfy operational user training and OPTEMPO requirements.
Ability to evaluate fielded programs with emphasis on the cost-effective implementation of targeted technical upgrades for extended life cycle support.
Ability to develop metrics to assess the value added by PEO STRI products to the warfighter.
