What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geophysical Internship position at ECS Group of Companies?
- Responsible for conducting electromagnetic (EM) and ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys to support geotechnical, construction materials testing, building forensic, or other engineering projects.
- Work closely with our engineers and project managers to provide accurate and reliable data in support of project planning, exploration, design, and evaluation.
- Perform EM and ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys to evaluate subsurface conditions, including locating voids, underground storage tanks (UST), utilities, rebar, and other subsurface features.
- Coordinate findings with more senior staff. Assist with data reduction, interpretation, and analysis to generate detailed geophysical reports and drawings that provide recommendations.
- Maintain professionalism when engaging with clients and other project stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned.

Actively pursuing a degree in Geology, geophysics, archeology, civil engineering, or other degree relevant to the practice of geophysics.
Interest in how structures are supported and a desire to think outside the box
Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed
- Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
