What You'll Do
- Directly manage 10 national accounts, totaling $3 million or more in annual sales
- Oversee, support, and mentor NAMs within their region / subsidiary, as required
This role may include the following :
Focus on strategic conversations with the NAMs to maximize each national account
Make recommendations to the Corporate Director for NAM reassignment and / or overall disposition of accountsMonitor account performance and recommend support for NAMs, as neededIdentify and pursue new national account opportunities, both within and outside their given subsidiaryFocus will be on coordinating the Regional Account process and management, as opposed to directly managing such accountsFull responsibility for the development and leadership of a national account program, including client development and project executionIdentify fledging relationships in the branches and help to develop them into national clientsWork with our existing National Account Managers to expand existing national accountsWork with the capture team to assist in their progressDevelop clients directlyMaintain and continually improve client satisfaction with ECS servicesDevelop and improve our current tracking systems for project progress to include features related to national accountsTrain and mentor new National Account Managers and provide assistance when they need help with poor performing officesOversight of on-going national account projectsWork with market sector groupsExecute work in an area of expertiseSupport the Regional President, Subsidiary Vice Presidents and Corporate Director of National Accounts in client management, project portfolio management, proposal preparation, Principal review, quality control, business development, training and mentoring our staff, standardization of reports and proposals, and empowering our employees to growYou may support the Corporate Director of National Accounts by managing designated national accounts as defined in the NAM agreementContact assigned national client members by phone once per monthFace-to-face visits with assigned national client members once per quarter, assist Corporate Director of National Accounts with national client contractual issuesCommunicate and coordinate with national client members periodically to update and modify their requirements and requestsSchedule and lead internal training within ECS for specific national client requirements and requestsCoordinate work internally within ECS with regard to deliverables, fee, work schedule, and client requestsCoordinate invoicing internally within ECS to meet the client's needsMaintain an invoicing summary for MTD and YTD fees for each national client you manageMaintain and track a list of all active projects being executed for the national client with specific deadlinesWork with the Corporate Director of National Accounts when requested to resolve problems within branches (conflict resolution)Provide input for technical decisions, review of reports, proposals and projects, quality control, and standardization of reports and proposals as they pertain to client needsExplore other needs of national clients and help them by matching with ECS services or outside servicesBesides these responsibilities, we expect that you will also participate in marketing activities for ECS. These marketing activities will be directed by the Regional President and Corporate Director of National Accounts.Assist with other duties as assigned, the Director of National Accounts reports directly to the PresidentWhat We're Looking For
BS or BA degree in engineering, marketing, or related discipline; MS or MBA preferred
10 years of relevant experience in engineering, project management, or sales with national clients
