Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Leadership Department Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Chief of Schools

Pay Grade: Clerical Support 9

Dept. /School: Leadership

Days: 227

Supervises: NA

Primary Purpose: To assist the Chief of Schools and Executive Directors of Leadership in operation of the Leadership Department, provide high quality customer service, and support district policy maintenance.

Maintain District Policy, Procedures and Regulations

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:


  • High School Graduate or hold GED Certificate.
  • Some College hours/technical training preferred.


Special Knowledge Skills:


  • Demonstrated ability to use Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Internet.
  • Knowledge of filing systems and ability to perform routine and detailed secretarial duties.
  • High quality customer service
  • Command of grammar, punctuation and proofreading ability.
  • Organizational skills.


Experience:


  • Administrative Assistant experience
  • Experience with Board Policies and Administrative Regulations
  • Experience related to computer and digital platform competency.
  • Successful job experience with a measured performance in detail, accuracy of routine and detailed record keeping.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Respond in a knowledgeable and courteous manner to telephone and in-person inquiries.
  • Maintain department Budget and make annual recommendations.
  • Make all travel arrangements and audit Travel Reimbursement claims.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Prepare contracts with consultants and vendors and maintain files for such.
  • Maintain department webpage.
  • Prepare updated/changed policies for presentation to the Superintendents’ Cabinet/ Board of Trustees.
  • Uphold District’s Policy and Procedures, State and Federal Law.
  • Attend training and staff development to keep abreast of field.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
