Primary Purpose:

The function of the Intel Communicator is to actively monitor surveillance cameras, report suspicious activity, monitor dangerous locations and incidents, prep case reports for all criminal courts, assist in state audits and reporting requirements. As well as other duties assigned by the Chief of Police.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED certification required.
• Possess a valid Texas Driver License.

Special Knowledge Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Understand and operate district surveillance camera systems.
• Learn police records system, file reports, submit reports to courts, and file evidence properly.

Experience:

• No experience required.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Follow Board Policy and ECISD Police Department General Orders.
• Manage all police reports and submit reports to the proper courts.
• Manage all city and county citations and submit to proper court.
• Manage illegal profiling forms.
• Keep track of the Unified Crime Reports.
• Manage evidence for criminal cases, entering evidence into the evidence log and storing evidence.
• Manage ECISD campus binders ensuring, drills, TAM, audits, and all other campus paperwork is completed and in binders.
• Monitor district camera systems for criminal activity on campuses.
• Serve as back-up dispatcher.
• Oversee Handel With Care program
