Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality educational resources to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills. Utilize evidence-based practices and stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in respiratory care.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Act as a preceptor and mentor, guiding new employees and students in the art and science of respiratory care. Engage in professional development activities, such as conferences, workshops, and online courses, to expand your knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and detailed patient records, utilizing electronic charting systems and documentation tools. Demonstrate expertise in respiratory modalities, including mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Associate Degree or higher in an approved CoARC program for Respiratory Care. Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board. RRT certification and AHA ACLS certification required. 10 years of experience in respiratory care. AHA PALS and NRP certifications required if working in the Children's hospital.
