Position Summary
Plans and estimates materials.
Assigns workload and inspects jobs.
Maintains files and records.
Performs personnel administrative functions.
Performs plumbing duties as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Plans and estimates materials: inspects job and estimates materials required; orders materials and supplies; inventories parts and materials; reads work orders and blueprints.
Assigns workload and inspects jobs: assigns work to individual personnel; visits work sites frequently, inspects or spot checks work; assures completion of jobs according to plumbing standards and various codes; resolves problems encountered on the job; makes arrangements for additional supplies and equipment or assistance as necessary; assures compliance with safety standards.
Maintains files and records: accounts for daily time of assigned personnel; generates various reports and records; maintains records and files.
Performs personnel administrative functions: counsels individuals for poor performance, personal problems, etc.; evaluates performance of subordinates; makes out requested reports; conducts training at times; controls and schedules for time-leave and vacations.
Performs plumbing duties as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High School or equivalent- or higher.
Registration or Certification:
A state plumbing license
Related Work Experience:
More than 6 years
Some experience may be acquired at school.
Other Information
Primarily first shift, 0700 - 1530, rotating on call, some weekend work but rarely
