ECU Health North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility serving Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in the north-central region of North Carolina. Its service area also reaches into southern Virginia. With more than 600 team members, the hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services. It features a 24-hour emergency department and offers advanced diagnostics as well as specialty and primary care.
Position Summary
The Supply Clerk orders, retrieves and stocks patient care unit/divisional supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with adding new supply items and removing supply items from inventory management systems.
- Checks inventory locations for missing labels, broken bins and corrects.
- Maintains Inventory locations in a clean and safe condition.
- Regularly checks for and removes expired supplies.
- Restocks returned/unused supplies into inventory management system.
- Retrieves items from the stockroom to address short term supply need.
- Retrieves specialty items from stockroom or other areas.
- Returns items to stockroom.
- Reviews and update inventory system counts.
- Reviews low/critical inventory reports and address with clinical leader.
- Meets regularly with customers to ensure their need are met.
- Regional Facilities Additional Functions
- Receives and delivers all incoming shipments to departments.
- Collects and processes all outgoing U.S. mail as applicable.
- Operates department equipment in a safe and efficient manner (copy machine, phone, postal machine, automated inventory system equipment and pallet jack).
- Remove all boxes and trash from Stockroom area.
- Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma required. Some college courses preferred but not required
Other Information
- Day Shift; Monday-Friday
- 7a to 3:30pm
- Rotating Sunday's
- This individual will be scheduled to work 1 Sunday out of 5
- No On-Call
