Position Summary
Must have the ability to coordinate clinic operations and assist physicians by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management. Assists with appropriate services. Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records. Must demonstrate skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians. Time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and assist patients and providers as necessary.
Perform clinical support services as needed within protocol.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
High School plus 1 to 2 years of formal training or education- or higher.
1 year or less experience in a clinical or medical office setting. CPR certification required. An additional year of medical office experience may substitute for the 1-year of additional education required beyond high school or equivalent.

Full time with benefits - 40 hours per week
Day shift: M-F - 8-4:30
No weekends/no on call

- Assist medical providers and techs with patient care services in clinic.
- Perform health screenings such as blood pressure, weight, and vitals.
- Collect health risk appraisals and/or patient histories.
- Assists with preparation and dissemination of health education materials.
- Perform other clinical functions per protocol as directed by techs and/or medical providers. CPR certification, able to provide patient emergency assistance.
- Performs customer service duties with courtesy and tact such as inbound and outbound calls, greet and assist customers, response to customer requests, use of service recovery, efforts to achieve patient/customer satisfaction. Promotes positive image.
- Assist with the navigation of patients to appropriate services.
- Prepares patient charts, forms, patient notifications, calls and mailings.
- Maintains and verifies consistency and accuracy of patient documentation in timely manner using appropriate medical records,, EMR, documentation and filing system. Demonstrate and maintain proficiency in the operation of computer software systems required to perform task responsibilities.
- Assists with insurance verification and medication authorization and follow through.
- Practice and support policies, procedures, protocols as well as quality and safety controls. Contributes to quality and process improvements. Models the VMC standards of performance.
- Assist with operational issues and provides staff coverage for clinic.
- Organize, monitor and stock supplies for clinic.
- Compiles reports, summaries, letters as assigned.
