Position Overview
ECU Health Physicians, ECU Health Maynard Children’s Hospital, and ECU Health Community Hospitals are expanding and seeking an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their regional market’s newborn hospitalist program. Clinical care will be provided in our community-based hospital located in Washington, NC with support provided by ECU Health’s Maynard Children’s Hospital in nearby Greenville, NC. New PNP-AC graduates are encouraged to apply.

- Growing 9-hospital physician-led healthcare system
- Schedule includes (12)- 24 hour unrestricted call shifts and 16 days off per month
- Clinical responsibilities include rounding and coordination of care for all newborn patients and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed
- Provider will return to ECU Health’s Maynard Children’s Hospital quarterly for continued competency and skills maintenance
- Transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center
- PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required

- PNP-AC or Physician Assistant (At least 2 years of NICU Experience for PA)
- NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
- National Board Certification as a Pediatric NP-AC or as PA required
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
