Position Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing referral requests for accessing multidisciplinary oncology services received from physicians or patients throughout eastern North Carolina. This position provides assistance and support to the multidisciplinary oncology teams at ECU Health Cancer Care and referring practices and patients. This person will act as a liaison between patients, providers and team members to ensure timely access to care and facilitates communication that fosters improved patient experience.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma required.
Medical terminology knowledge required with at least 2 years direct referral management, prior authorization and scheduling experience is required.
Associate's Degree in Medical Office Administration, Healthcare Administration or other applicable medical degree is preferred.
Other Information
Full time with benefits - 40 hours per week
Day shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
No weekends/holidays
