Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Position Summary
A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related procedures. This role requires academic and clinical experience, as well as certification through ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to standard protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration in physics and one specialty exam (AB or OB/GYN) required.
- At least 2 years of experience as a US technologist (sonographer).
Work Schedule
This position requires working night shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with a call rotation of one Saturday night per month.
