About ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center
ECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a campus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center - a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women's birthing center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.
Position Summary
- Responsibility, accountability and decision-making authority for facilitating the implementation of systems, programs and strategic initiatives that advance entity capability.
- Develops and aligns strategies, initiatives, supporting infrastructure, and budgets that enable the entity to achieve results that align with established quality imperatives to create and sustain operational excellence.
- Communicates objectives to staff to ensure understanding of quality goals and their alignment.
- Oversees initiatives and operations, including staff, budget, and vendor management.
- Measures effectiveness and take steps to ensure continuous improvement of entity performance.
- Facilitates change to advance the organization and uses resources and operational practices to drive execution of plans.
- Ensures that policies, procedures and practices are operationalized to support safe, reliable care, regulatory compliance, and fosters a continuous learning culture.
- Accountable for a positive organizational culture in decision making and performance management to influence work attitudes and enhance job satisfaction.
- Has oversight of quality programs such has infection prevention, regulatory compliance, performance improvement and/or patient safety.
- Member of management teams and functions as a key liaison between the leadership teams, staff and physician partners of the health care facility and programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree or higher is required.
- 5 to 7 years related experience is required.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of North Carolina (NC) is preferred.

- This on-site leadership position is full-time - Monday - Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm
