Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Compares identifying information & counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming & outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other. Finalizes purchase order, adjusting pricing as necessary.
- Determines best method of shipment and prepares packaging meeting shipping specifications.
- Processes all deliveries in a timely manner on day of delivery. Routes items to purchaser. Completes receiving documentation processes by end of fiscal month.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Maintains inventory control accuracy during receiving processing.
- Provides direct customer service with counter sales and merchandising/stocking functions as needed.
- Maintains upkeep & organization of receiving work and storage areas to include placing received items in proper storage, labeling as necessary for quick identification, and maintaining safety requirements of such.
- Contacts salesperson to inform of receipt of Special Order item for pickup.
- Pull and stage store items for transfers and delivery to customers.
- Creates credit purchase orders for defective returns and vendor returns.
- Maintains tool repair program for location.
- Safely operates lift/hand truck to move items from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Completes daily safety inspection checklists on equipment assigned to them.
- Documents store transfers. Verifies quantities shipped & received, processes & updates transfer documents in the same manner as vendor receipts.
- Maintains primary inventory and back stock of all materials in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Provides outstanding customer service at all internal and external customer contact points.
- Participates in all required training assignments.
- Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.
Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.

Education/Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
