Ed Morse is currently seeking an Automotive Warranty Clerk to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Job duties include but are not limited to managing the financial transactions related to purchasing automotive warranties and products at a dealership.
Verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, processing payments to vendors, reconciling statements, and maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable within the dealership.
Ensuring timely and correct payments to suppliers while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Process and post cancellations per lienholder requests, customer requests and cancellations per statements.
Ensuring that all required documents are collected for the cancellation process.
Process refund checks for cancellations to customers or lienholders.
Maintain the schedules and work the reconciling items on the extended warranty/insurance reconciliations.
Calculate and post finance chargebacks.
- Handle additional tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years Automotive experience preferred
- Associates degree with a major in accounting or completion of two years of college coursework with an emphasis in accounting.
- Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Experience with at least one accounting software program.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with accounting computer software CDK program.
- Ability to communicate effectively to resolve problems with other dealership employees, suppliers, and governmental agencies.
