BASES (Before and After School Extended Services)
Part-Time Assistant Teacher
Located at Torrington Middle School, Torrington, CT
Job Description : EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to work in the BASES (Before and After School Extended Services) After School Program in Torrington. The qualified candidate will be professional, have experience working with middle school-aged children, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be available during after-school hours (2 : 30 pm-5 : 45 pm). Torrington High School and Middle School staff are encouraged to apply.The Assistant Teacher works under the supervision of the Site Coordinator and the BASES Administrative Team.
Major Responsibilities :
- Assist the Site Coordinator in the operation of the after-school program daily
- Supervise children and provide a safe, welcoming environment
- Maintain positive relationships with families, children, and school personnel
- Set up and clean up of program site
- First Aid / CPR / Meds Admin certification to be acquired within 3 months of hire
- Other duties as may be assigned
- Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position
