As a Special Projects Intern, you’ll play an essential role in supporting EdCoSpace with various initiatives that will help build your professional portfolio. This role is designed to provide you with real-world experiences that can be showcased on your résumé, from social media content creation to strategic planning and business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Social Media and Marketing: Assist in planning and creating social media content that aligns with EdCoSpace’s mission. Tasks may include drafting posts, scheduling content, and engaging with followers.

• Course Creation: Support the development of early childhood education resources by researching and organizing content, designing course materials, and testing online course platforms.

• Business Strategy: Conduct research on best practices and help with strategy formulation for key initiatives. This may include market analysis, competitor research, and recommendations to support growth.

• Operations Support: Assist with administrative tasks that support business functions, such as data entry, document organization, and project tracking.

• Special Projects: Work directly with EdCoSpace’s founder on ad-hoc projects, from preparing presentations to coordinating community events and implementing new operational processes.

Ideal Candidate:

• Mission Driven: Passionate about supporting families, educators, and communities in early childhood development.

• Organized and Detail-Oriented: Able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and follow through on projects independently.

• Creative and Strategic Thinker: Eager to contribute fresh ideas to improve EdCoSpace’s outreach and service delivery.

• Strong Communication Skills: Comfortable with both written and verbal communication; ready to engage in a collaborative, virtual work environment.

• Tech Savvy: Experience or willingness to learn tools like Canva, social media schedulers, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.

What You’ll Gain:

• Hands-On Experience: Work directly on diverse projects in a real-world business setting, allowing you to build a portfolio of work and gain practical skills.

• Mentorship: Receive guidance from the founder, an experienced early childhood development professional, to help you grow and refine your skillset.

• Résumé-Worthy Projects: Build a strong résumé by showcasing your contributions to marketing, strategy, and operations in a professional environment.

• Flexible Scheduling: Work remotely on a schedule that fits your academic calendar.

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in early childhood education, business administration, communications, or nonprofit management to get a comprehensive view of small business operations while contributing to meaningful work.
