1.0 STEM Teacher

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT
OF POSITION:
Knowledge of best practices in teaching and study of the digital learning and computer science (DLCS) MA DESE standards, including digital safety and citizenship;
Ability to plan and teach weekly technology specialist classes to students;
Ability to plan and implement research-based, developmentally-appropriate interventions and enrichment to students;
Co-teach fifth grade science classes;
Support third and fourth grade science classes by assisting with materials organization;
Ability to be a team player and collaborate well with other classroom teachers, interventionists, and special education service providers;
Experience with differentiating instruction to students;
Ability to be flexible, have a positive attitude, be a lifelong learner, and a champion for technology, math, and science learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Massachusetts DESE Certification in Elementary 1-6; additional certifications such as Instructional Technology Specialist Teacher, Digital Literacy/Computer Science, General Science 1-6, or Mathematics 1-6 are a plus, but not required.
