EDDY Pump, a leading manufacturer in advanced pumping and dredging technology solutions, is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for a financial professional who is well-versed in manufacturing environments and skilled in managing complex accounting systems including ERP software, with a specific emphasis on Epicor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and prepare financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and execute intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Additional duties as necessary to support the financial health and operational needs of the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and finance experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven knowledge of intercompany transactions and the complexities associated with them.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and a team-oriented approach.
