Position Overview:
The Field Service Manager will be responsible for managing a team of field service technicians who perform installation, maintenance, and repair of EDDY Pump equipment at customer sites. This role will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and support our field technicians in providing exceptional service in demanding industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment, experience leading field teams, and a passion for solving technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of field service technicians to ensure they provide exceptional on-site service and support.
- Assign service jobs, track performance, and ensure timely completion of all fieldwork, including installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
- Provide ongoing training and development for the field team, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest EDDY Pump technologies and industry practices.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal teams to plan and schedule field service activities.
- Oversee the logistics and scheduling of field technicians, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools and information to execute their tasks efficiently.
- Monitor the progress of field service projects to ensure they stay on time and within budget.
- Customer Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding on-site service, addressing any concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Ensure all work is carried out according to safety and quality standards while maintaining open communication with the customer.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to field service technicians and customers when needed.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with EDDY Pump equipment in the field.
- Coordinate with engineering and R&D teams for technical issues that require deeper investigation.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of all service activities, including job reports, maintenance records, and customer feedback.
- Monitor service performance metrics and generate reports for management.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all field technicians adhere to EDDY Pump safety policies and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and equipment inspections in the field.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in field service management, preferably in industrial equipment, pumps, or heavy machinery.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team of field service technicians in challenging industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage remote teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and ensure on-time delivery in dynamic field conditions.
- Proficiency in using field service management software and CRM systems.
- Travel:
- Willingness to travel to various field sites (domestic and international) to oversee and support field operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dredging equipment, pumps, or related industrial machinery is a plus.
- Technical certifications in mechanical or electrical systems are advantageous.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
