Edelbrock is seeking skilled CMM Programmers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and updating CMM programs
Must be physically present and have regular and dependable attendance.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Using PC-DMIS, Microsoft Excel, and Visual Basic, develops new and updates CMM programs for 1st articles, in-process inspections and stock checks of on-site machined automotive parts
- Daily inspection on castings and cnc’ed automotive parts. Must be able to do complete inspections and clearly review those results with setup and engineering personnel.
- Work quickly in a fast-paced production environment providing accurate inspections.
- Verify inspection results using alternative inspection procedures as necessary.
- Create and make changes to existing reports for up-to-date customer documentation.
- Assist in the development of new inspection routines and required fixtures from either cad model or blueprint.
- Follow all production documentation (ie. CMM programs, inspection reports, and blueprints) and advise on any changes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires standing, light walking, some bending at the neck and waist, some twisting of the neck and waist, use of hands, repetitive use of hands, simple grasping, some power grasping, and light pushing and pulling. The employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 4 years CMM PC-DMIS operation and Machine Parts Inspector.
- Knowledge of CMM PC-DMIS operation. Machine parts and surface plate inspection required. Blueprint reading, interpretation and GD&T skills. Accurate use of thread gages, calipers, bore gages, templates and other hand tool mandatory.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic and SPC a plus. ISO-9001:2015 procedure knowledge is helpful.
- Knowledge of CNC Machining of metal-based parts.
