Summary
As a CNC Machine Operator/Tooling at Edelbrock Permanent Mold, LLC, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, responsible for operating CNC machinery to fabricate precision automotive components. This role is vital to our mission of providing top-notch performance parts while ensuring quality and efficiency in our production processes. Maintains, controls, and operates machinery in the Foundry, Pattern Shop.
Essential Functions

- Utilize calipers, mics, and thread pidge gauges
- Understand torque values
- Use a touchscreen to view and address notifications
- Ensure timely preparation and availability of all production materials, avoiding shortages during production
- Use of basic math
- Must be physically present to operate machinery with regular and dependable attendance
- Operate Machine Shop Tools and equipment (CNCs, Lathes, Mills, Drills, Punches, Sanders, etc.)
- Inspect products for surface defects and flaws
- Perform daily and repetitive deburring and grinding activities
- Ensure conformance to specifications
- Loading and unloading parts from CNC Machines
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a Shop floor with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, noise, vibration, and moving mechanical parts. Note, that personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when entering the plant to include ear plugs, safety glasses, and steel toe boots.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Some heavy lifting – up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of hands and fingers, handle and/or feel, reaching with hands and arms. Use of ladders and forklift. Prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching. Requires the employee to talk and/or hear.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
TRAVEL
No travel is expected for this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Six (6) months of experience as a machine operator or use of production manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with Fanuc controls
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- One (1) year of experience as a machine operator
- 6 months operating CNC machines
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass drug and background.
