What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Supervisor position at Edelbrock Group?
Edelbrock has been an iconic name in the performance aftermarket for nearly 90 years. Throughout its history its product line has included some of the world’s most revolutionary intake manifolds and cylinder heads for racers and enthusiasts alike. Products are designed, engineered and tested using the latest manufacturing processes at facilities across the United States to ensure premier performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Manual, Quality System Procedures, Operator Work Instructions and laboratory activities.
- Assist in activities to ensure compliance to applicable ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.
- Review QA/QC test results to ensure that specifications are met and that testing has been performed according to specifications and customer requirements.
- Assist with Internal and External Corrective Action Program.
- The qualified candidate will demonstrate upward mobility potential and desire.
- Monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance and improvement opportunities.
- Support production leads and operators
- Supervise / Coach the Quality Team
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience with documentation and implementation of quality systems in the automotive or related industry.
- A background in established quality methodologies such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Control Plan, Lean Manufacturing, Internal Auditing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Corrective & Preventive Action Problem Solving Disciplines.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access).
- Must be very strong in Interpersonal Communication, with Demonstrated Initiative, Attention to Detail and the ability to Multitask and Meet Deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, individually and in a team setting.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed, in order to meet client, project and departmental deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Secondary Language Skills a Plus
