What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Support Specialist position at Edelman Home?
The Sales Support Specialist will support the Sales Director with sales, customer service, and daily operations. This role will be a pathway role to a Showroom Sales Consultant. Working alongside our Sales Director will involve shadowing high-end client appointments with homeowners, interior designers, and builders. You will become an expert in kitchen and bathroom plumbing supplies, appliances and decorative hardware. Your target market will include new custom home builds and renovation projects. Success in this role requires this person to be passionate about learning the business and providing top-notch customer service.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Learning about kitchen plumbing and its vendors
- Learning to sell high-end appliances, hardware and plumbing fixtures
- Attending offsite product knowledge training and meetings with manufacturer reps, that may require overnight stays
- Scheduling orders, processing payments, creating specification proposals, monitoring status of orders, and lead time follow-up
- Assisting customers with troubleshooting via the phone
- Communication with vendors on special projects, samples, etc.
- Processing warranty claims and scheduling service appointments

- A genuine curiosity to get to know your clients that will build long-lasting relationships
- Resilience and confidence to grow as you learn the business
- Ability to learn and read blueprints/specifications
- Responsive follow-up times both internally and to our clients
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of customer-facing experience
- 2 years of Administrative or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in design, construction, building or wholesale industries
