Job Title: Autism Support Nurse Specialist
Job Summary: Eden Autism Services seeks a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team as an Autism Support Nurse Specialist. This role involves providing medical support and care to students with autism, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and promoting healthy lifestyles and behaviors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with autism, in collaboration with educators and therapists.
* Provide medical care and support to students, including administering medications and treatments as needed.
* Conduct regular physical assessments of students to monitor their overall health and well-being.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student health needs and progress.
* Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement behavioral interventions and strategies.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse (RN) is required.
* School Nurse certification is highly preferred.
* Proven experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is essential.
* CPR/AED certification is a must.
