We are seeking a Sr. Overhead Transmission Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute complex transmission projects, adhering to NESC code and industry standards.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced transmission and distribution engineers on capital and maintenance projects.
- Analyze and design high-voltage systems (12KV–500KV) using tools like PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-TOWER, RISA-3D, and/or STAAD.
- Conduct structural analyses and ensure compliance with codes including AISC, ACI 318-14, ASCE/SEI 7, ASCE/SEI 10, and ASCE/SEI 48.
- Guide and support junior engineers in executing technical and project tasks.
- Work on upgrading existing transmission lines and designing new EHV (extra-high voltage) line projects and interconnections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited program required).
- 8-10 years of experience for senior-level roles or 5 years for level III roles.
- Proven expertise in high-voltage transmission systems, utility background, and industry-standard software.
- Strong understanding of NESC, EIA, ANSI, IEEE, and GO95 codes.
- Professional Engineer License is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:
- Extensive experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-TOWER, and AutoCAD/MicroStation.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (RISA-3D and/or STAAD).
- Knowledge of structural steel and concrete standards.
- Previous work in the utility industry or similar large-scale engineering projects.
