Eden Forest Collective is a 17-acre regenerative agriculture farm dedicated to sustainable food production, community engagement, and ecological stewardship. There are between 5-15 of us here on a typical day along with 1 lovable livestock guardian dog named Bella who is an angelic great pyrenees. We have around 150 chickens, 30 ducks, 15 goats, 4 sheep, 2 parrots, 1 tortoise, 5 koi fish, and 10 cats.
Our farm integrates principles of syntropic farming, agroforestry, and regenerative agriculture to cultivate a thriving landscape that benefits both people and the planet. We operate a membership- based model and host community-focused events that celebrate sustainable agriculture, food, and education.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Part-Time Events Coordinator to help plan and execute a variety of farm-based events. This role will involve organizing Harvest Series events, Summer Chef Dinners, and Educational Farm Workshops (such as jam-making, tincture- making, seed saving, sheep shearing, and more). The coordinator will also liaise with outside facilitators and educators to bring engaging experiences to our farm community. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys community engagement, and has a passion for sustainable agriculture and farm-based education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Yearly Planning: Create a yearly event calendar and budget in collaboration with the Farm Operations team, estimating potential income for each event.
* Event Planning & Execution: Organize and oversee farm events, ensuring seamless
execution from concept to completion.
* Facilitator Coordination: Work with outside chefs, educators, and specialists to coordinate engaging farm workshops and dinners.
* Structure Planning: Come up with a base structure including compensation or profit splitting for outside facilitators.
* Community Engagement: Promote events through social media, farm newsletters, and local outreach.
* Logistics & Setup: Ensure proper event setup, including seating, food service, and workshop materials as well as coordinating to have enough staff on hand for the event to run smoothly. * Collaboration: Work alongside the farm team to align events with harvest cycles and farm activities.
* Administrative Tasks: Manage event sign-ups, communicate with attendees, and track event participation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, or community organizing (Preferred)
- Passion for regenerative agriculture, healthy food systems, community co-living, experiential events, and farm-based education
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple events and manage schedules
- Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions
- Ability to lift and set up event materials if needed
- Ability to work alone or manage a small team depending on event size
