Position: Maintenance Assistant
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant will support the Maintenance Director in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff. This is a temp-to-hire position, with the opportunity for long-term employment based on performance and business needs
Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Assist in setting up rooms or equipment for special events or resident needs.
- Support snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with staff and residents to address maintenance concerns.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related field required
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, Ambitious, Patient, and Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency maintenance as needed.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
