Edenbrook Greenwood Hill is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee and coordinate nursing services within our skilled nursing facility. The RN Unit Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a positive work environment for staff. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing care within the assigned unit, ensuring adherence to facility policies and state and federal regulations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Monitor resident care plans, assessments, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess residents’ conditions and address any concerns.
- Assist with staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure proper infection control procedures are followed within the unit.
- Handle resident and family concerns with professionalism and compassion.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to nursing care and unit operations.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding nursing home operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and support staff.
