The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary, with hourly rates between $18.00-$20.00, based on experience. Additionally, we offer shift differentials, tuition reimbursement / students loan repayment up to $5,250 a year, and employee referral bonuses.
Job Description
As a Senior Care Assistant at Williamsport South Rehabilitation Nursing Center, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our residents by assisting them with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Providing quality care to residents in a nurturing environment
- Individualized attention to encourage each resident's ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
- Carrying out assignments required for residents' activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Attending to individual needs of all residents regarding incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, and other needs
- Providing care that maintains each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas
- Performing various tasks assigned by the floor nurse, including checking vital signs, weighing residents, applying creams / ointments, and collecting specimens
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have :
- An active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- A passion for working with people and handling everyday challenges with a smile
- The ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
