Please note that Eden Village is located in Glen Carbon, IL, right next to Edwardsville, IL. We are a quick 20-25 minutes from St. Louis MO, Alton IL, Granite City IL, and even closer to Maryville IL, Collinsville IL, and Troy IL. Located close to all major highways/interstates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE CNA POSITION: The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing personal care and services for the Residents of the Care Center, for participating in risk management initiatives, and for acting as an advocate for Residents and/or family members.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of each assigned Resident’s Plan of Care and Restorative Plan of Care and demonstrates this through completion of compliant and individualized personal care.
- Reviews the Resident Kardex reminders on a daily basis to assure follow-through with needs/approaches, etc.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation to include but not be limited to temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, height, intake/outtake, etc.
- Assists in meal activities by preparing/transporting Residents to the dining room, distributing and setting up food trays, securing alternate choices as possible, feeding if necessary, recording consumption, assisting with social interactions (behavioral management) for non-eating Residents, and assuring Resident cleanliness after meals.
- Follows all Illinois Department of Public Health rules/regulations in the provision of personal care.
- May be asked to assist with Resident transportation.
- Assists with providing an ongoing program of ability-focused, person-centered care for all Residents.
- Assists with inviting Residents to social programs and offering escort as necessary.
- Assists Residents with personal hygiene activities to include but not be limited to bathing, shaving, dressing, dental care, peri-care, toileting, etc.
