About The Role
As our Vice President of Engineering, you'll be responsible for overseeing Eden's entire engineering department, leading the development and implementation of technical strategies, managing engineering teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with the company's overall business goals. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be focusing on strategic decision-making, team leadership, and driving innovation within the engineering function.

Compensation at Eden will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Eden has identified the expected annual base salary range for this role: $200-$300k DOE & 15-25% of annual salary, tied to the achievement of specific performance metrics related to operational efficiency, revenue growth, and patient satisfaction.
At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.

Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Defining the long-term technical vision for the engineering department, aligning it with the company's business objectives, and identifying necessary technology investments.
- Team Management: Recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and developing a high-performing engineering team, including engineering managers and directors.
- Project Oversight: Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Technical Leadership: Providing technical guidance and expertise on complex engineering challenges, staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Budget Management: Overseeing the engineering department's budget, allocating resources effectively, and managing costs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments like product management, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Quality Assurance: Establishing and maintaining quality standards for engineering processes and deliverables.
- Performance Evaluation: Setting clear performance expectations for engineering teams and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Talent Development: Fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the engineering team.
What You Bring to Eden
- Proven Leadership: A minimum of 6 years of experience in Engineering leadership roles, preferably in a direct to consumer, CPG, or telehealth setting with an ability to drive 10X value.
- Experience building out middleware solutions and sso user management infrastructures
- Experience managing front end and backend development teams
- Ability to design, develop, and deploy point solutions as a team-of-oneExperience in SAAS is a plus.
- Experience building out ERP/EMR technology solutions is a plus.
- Experience with “Healthie” infrastructure is a plus..
- Ability to manage small teams and commit code on that same team.
- L4-level engineering position.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
