Edenbrook Platteville, a skilled nursing facility located in Platteville, WI, seeks a Full-time Bath Aide/Scheduler to join our team. We require that all of our Staffing Coordinators be CNA Certified as they will be assisting in picking up shifts and working the floor when short staffed or during call-ins.
Position: Full-time Bath Aide/Scheduler (must be a CNA)
Job Summary:
Responsible to provide work schedule for nursing staff, answer multi-line telephone, and bath residents accordingly.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm. For Bath Aide and Scheduler position.
Residents Rights:
- Knows and respects patient rights.
- Ensures all protected health information is kept confidential.
- Reports all complaints made by patients to supervisor.
- Reports all allegations of resident abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of patient property.
Safety and Sanitation:
- Follows established safety policies and procedures.
- Observes safety needs of patients as indicated in care plan.
- Wears and/or uses safety equipment and supplies when indicated and properly trained to use.
- Demonstrates job-specific knowledge of fire and disaster preparedness during drills or actual situations.
Staff Development:
- Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training, educational classes and meetings.
Nursing Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Operates multiline telephone and paging system efficiently and effectively.
- Answers incoming calls, texts, and emails. Determines the nature of the call and routes the call to the appropriate party.
- Handles sensitive information regarding residents' and other facility matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Create the daily schedule for the nursing department.
- Assures adequate number of staff are scheduled at all times to meet the resident's needs as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assures monthly and daily staffing records are completed on time.
- Secures coverage for vacancy shift, open positions, vacations and staff call-offs.
- Float staff to areas of need as necessary per department and/or organization staffing policies.
- Review time off requests and deny or approve with supervisor's approval.
- Communicate effectively with DON and HR regarding new hires and the orientation process.
- Track attendance occurrences and forward to HR.
- Perform clerical tasks.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills through telephone, email and instant messaging.
- Proficient with MS Office, Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proficient with OnShift
- Perform bathing activities with direct care to residents.
- Clean/trim finger and toenails as appropriate
- Perform safe transfers of residents to and from the shower/tub room and assist CNA’s on the floor with bathing residents
- Assist in delivering meal trays at designated mealtimes to residents.
Education:
- High School Diploma
- CNA certification
Experience:
- Prior experience as a receptionist or nursing scheduler preferred but not required.
- Prior experience as a CNA/Bath aide preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Lifting 20 pounds' maximum with frequent lifting, moving, and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds; Standing, walking, talking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling.
Dress code: Scrubs in good working condition, closed toed shoes
Principal Contacts:
- Works with elderly residents, families and other health care staff members.
