Job Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator supports the HR department by managing administrative tasks, facilitating HR processes, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves maintaining employee records, leading recruitment and onboarding, coordinating training programs, and addressing employee inquiries, while ensuring compliance with regulations. The HR Coordinator collaborates with the HRBP to implement policies and improve processes, contributing to organizational goals.
Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries, provide timely assistance and resolve HR issues or escalate when needed.
- Build trusted relationships with employees to deliver value and drive the employee experience.
- Process documentation and HRIS data entry for the employment life cycle (ie. new hire, promotions, terminations, leaves, organizational changes, etc.).
- Responsible for full-cycle recruiting, including posting open positions, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting phone screens.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new hires including initiating background checks and drug screens, and ensuring all necessary paperwork and processes are completed for the new hires.
- Coordinate, administer, and track all training sessions.
- Prepare reports on HR activities, analyze, and interpret data.
- Work closely with the Human Resources Business Partner to oversee and manage employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, and medical accommodations while ensuring compliance with applicable law and company policies.
- Assist in the rollout and implementation of corporate initiatives, ensuring alignment with goals and objectives.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinate and execute annual HR tasks (ie. HR reporting, annual review, etc.).
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, proposed regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in HRIS systems, and MS Office (Microsoft, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to keep all information highly confidential, capable of handling sensitive and sometimes difficult situations/interactions.
- Ability to thrive in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience managing a HRIS infrastructure, such as Workday or ADP WorkforceNow, preferred.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant HR or administrative experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Associate degree in a related field, preferably Business Administration or Human Resources.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Certification or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge in managing HR functions across multiple states.
- Experience in a B2B business environment.
- 1 year of utilizing ADP or Workday HRIS.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with an office position that involves standing, sitting, reaching, manual dexterity to operate office machines, stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands or deliveries.
- May work at computer monitors for prolonged periods with danger of eye strain and muscle pain.
