What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Edens Care?
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
Mobility Support: Help clients with mobility needs, such as transferring from bed to wheelchair, walking, or using mobility aids, to promote their independence and safety.
Medication Assistance: Assist with medication reminders and administration according to prescribed schedules. Report any concerns or changes in clients’ health to healthcare professionals.
Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals based on clients’ dietary needs and preferences. Assist with feeding if necessary.
Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities, including conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities, to enhance their mental and emotional well-being.
Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for clients.
Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health, including any unusual symptoms or behaviors, to healthcare providers or family members.
Safety and Emergency Response: Ensure the safety of clients by following care plans, using safety equipment, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
