What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping / EVS position at Edens Care?
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Sanitizing:
Perform daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and dining areas.
Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces to maintain a healthy living environment.
Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies as needed.
Dispose of trash and replace liners in resident rooms and community areas.
Laundry & Linen Services:
Wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, and personal clothing (if applicable).
Ensure proper handling of residents’ personal belongings with care and respect.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow infection control protocols and use appropriate cleaning products to prevent the spread of germs.
Could you report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to the
Adhere to all community policies, procedures, and health regulations.
Interaction & Customer Service:
Treat with dignity, kindness, and respect while performing housekeeping duties.
Be mindful of needs, privacy, and preferences.
Communicate any resident concerns or requests to the appropriate staff members.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping or custodial experience, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or hospitality setting.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work efficiently and follow cleaning schedules.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Friendly and compassionate attitude when interacting with seniors.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Comfortable working with cleaning supplies and performing repetitive tasks.
