General Manager - Store Operations
A General Manager is responsible for all operations in their location. The ideal candidate will have a professional level drive and a passion for excellence in the highly competitive, upscale hospitality industry. This position requires strong communication skills and an understanding of food costs, labor objectives and overall business operations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and desire to serve others with excellence
- Handles complex customer inquiries, orders or concerns
- Communicates and ensures compliance of policies and procedures
- Interviews, selects, hires, schedules and trains employees according to business need
- Has financial responsibility for sales, food costs and labor costs
- Uses past sales numbers and projections to order supplies and plan production
- Ensures proper training of all employees on company systems and standards
- Coaches, corrects and encourages employees on a daily basis in a positive manner
- Appropriately handles personnel issues according to company and regulatory guidelines
- Ensures customer service standards are held at a high standard by all employees
- Commits to company values and displays a reputable character that reflects well on the brand.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- (3) years of experience in a foodservice or retail environment
- (1) year of experience in management or supervision in a foodservice related field
- Proficiency in Point of Sale Systems and basic computer skills
- Experience with R365, Toast and Windows based applications preferred
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks while clearly communicating priorities
- Strong customer service background
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to teach, coach and correct others while maintaining a positive work environment
Work Life Balance:
- Great work/life balance operating schedule for restaurant industry - shift start at 5:30am and finish by 8pm.
- Closed on Sundays and major holidays - Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, July 4th
- On site 50 hours a week or more during holiday weeks or as business needs and should be engaged on a professional level while not on site
