Cake Decorator Apprentice

Position Overview:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about learning how to decorate cakes to join our team as Cake Decorator Apprentices. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn the craft of cake decoration from the ground up. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced decorators to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in creating beautiful and delicious cakes.

Responsibilities:

• Training and Learning: Under the guidance of experienced cake decorators, learn various techniques and methods for cake decoration, including icing, piping, fondant work, and stacking tiered cakes.
• Assisting Senior Decorators: Assist senior decorators in preparing cake decorations, icing cakes, decorating sugar cookies, and executing designs.
• Practice and Skill Development: Practice decorating techniques under supervision and work towards mastering the craft of cake decoration.
• Feedback Acceptance: Be open to receiving feedback and guidance from mentors to improve decorating skills and technique.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring proper storage and handling of decorating tools and supplies.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to support the production and decoration of cakes, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
• Enthusiasm for Learning: Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow as a cake decorator, seeking out opportunities to expand knowledge and skillset.
• Commitment to Excellence: Strive to uphold company standards for quality and design in all cake decorations, even as you develop your skills as an apprentice.

Qualifications:

• No previous experience in cake decorating required; we are looking for individuals with a passion for learning the craft.
• Strong interest in cake decoration and a desire to develop artistic and creative skills.
• Extremely coachable personality with a willingness to learn and accept guidance from mentors.
• Enthusiasm for the craft of cake decoration and a commitment to excellence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
