Century Cabinets is looking for a Utility person responsible for sanding, painting, staining, and packaging cabinets and stair treads.

Essential Functions:

• Disassemble, remove, and store components from stock
• Mask cabinets and other projects using tape and masking material in preparation for painting or stain
• Sand cabinets and stair treads and other various projects in preparation for painting or stain
• Staining and painting cabinet and stair products
• Stack, shrink wrap and band for transportation
• General shop up-keep
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Competencies:

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• A clear understanding of company policies and procedures, applicable federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Strong service mentality

Qualifications:

• Wood finishing experience
• Ability to use and/or operate basic hand tools (manual and power-driven)
• General mechanical aptitude
• Ability and willingness to follow direction and be a team player
• Ability to work independently as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must work in an efficient and safe manner
• Positive "can-do" attitude
• Proven safety record
• Standing (8) hours per day using full range of physical motions associated with general labor work throughout the workday.
• Manual lifting and maneuvering up to 40 pounds.
• May be exposed to loud noises and various materials

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position. Warehouse environment.
