Job Description: Procurement Assistant
EDGEiD is a full-service Interior Design Firm. We are currently seeking a qualified FF&E Procurement Assistant to join our team. The basic function of the Procurement Assistant is to procure, expedite and schedule deliveries of materials and services to the project site for new or existing properties. In this position, you will be required to ensure timely delivery of products and services and resolve vendor performance issues; manage team of professionals in obtaining and delivering purchase orders; and receiving, reconciling, processing, and analyzing invoices for all goods and services. You will need to be able to anticipate scheduling and budgetary conflicts and initiate solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and implement budgets for each project
- Negotiate pricing contracts with vendors and suppliers throughout a project
- Issue purchase orders for procurement of materials and equipment
- Ensure that goods are received per specifications and all items are issued
- Obtain bids from primary vendors, record bids and order appropriately
- Maintain vendor and supplier insurance/warranty policies
- Assist in maintaining company quality control program
- Maintain supplier information on company online management systems
- Manage materials/equipment inventory
- Oversee project accounting through receiving payments, issuing invoices, issuing vendor payments and process invoices.
- Coordinate sales tax locations with accounting specialist
- Manage freight & logistics directly with vendor or with 3rd party logistics firm
- Assist with coordination of installation and punch lists at project sites or remotely as needed
- Prepare and compile necessary plans and documentation for Clients installer
- Build Care and Maintenance and Installation and Assembly manuals for client as part of project coordination
- Create and maintain client billing schedules
- Schedule and host regular client meetings to provide project updates on budgets, production, and deliveries

Procurement Specialist Qualifications/Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with subcontractors suppliers, and clients.
- Work in Studio Designer, Microsoft and Google Sheets
- Associates Degree or higher required
- Proven related work experience
- Project Management experience preferred
- Hospitality, Construction and/or Interior Design experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand construction plans
- Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
- Solid judgment along with decision making skills
- Ability to accurately describe and assess the status of a project and be ready to provide possible solutions when necessary
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions
- Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn company specific software for managing projects
- Excellent time management
